Story time!

One of the guys in my research group, Keith, has a dog named Sherlock.

A few weeks ago, he & his girlfriend told us they were getting another dog.

I pleaded with them to name the new dog Watson or John.

Keith’s girlfriend replied that she didn’t want the new dog to be a sidekick.

o_O <—-my face

I told her she needed to watch the new BBC version & then decide if John was just a “sidekick”.

After that was unsuccessful, I pleaded with them to name the new dog Mycroft.

They named their dog Snoopy.

Sigh.

Such a waste.
